
Acupucture Practitioner
Jonathan initially studied for a degree in psychology (B.Sc. hons) and worked in the NHS mental health service for 5 years. He then completed his four year Acupuncture training in York, at the Northern College of Acupuncture, gaining a Post Graduate Diploma and full membership of The British Acupuncture Council, the professional body for Acupuncturists. Further post graduate study in China in the united affiliated hospital of Huangzhu followed, working and gaining invaluable clinical skills and training in a busy outpatients department in a Chinese hospital, treating mainly pain conditions. He has special interest in treating pain. He is co- founder with the clinic director Andrew Kemp of the ‘Grange NHS community acupuncture service’, providing a community based part of the Nottingham City PCT pain clinic service.
He has specialist training in Obstetric acupuncture, caring for women throughout their pregnancy, completing the nature child course, studying with internationally known authors and clinicians including Debra Betts, Sarah Budd, and Proff Micheal Dooley. Further specialist training in fertility, studying with Jane Lytttleton.
